We treat everything related to your personal data with integrity and respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Policy is governed by Law on the Protection of Personal Data of the Republic of Paraguay and, where applicable to users in the European Union or to transfers to that territory, by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (\u201cGDPR\u201d). You accept this Policy when you access or use the TEDIC website or Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Scope &amp; Related Policies<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we process, how we process it, for what purposes, and under what legal basis. It also explains your choices regarding how we use your data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When we refer to \u201cTEDIC,\u201d \u201cwe,\u201d \u201cus,\u201d or \u201cour\u201d in this Policy, we mean Asociaci\u00f3n de Tecnolog\u00eda, Educaci\u00f3n, Desarrollo, Investigaci\u00f3n y Comunicaci\u00f3n, which controls the data that TEDIC collects when you use our Services. TEDIC provides a collaborative project-management tool. References to our product in this Policy include our own cloud-hosting tool, website, and mobile applications developed by TEDIC. We refer to this set of tools collectively as the \u201cServices.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The scope of this Policy, together with our Terms of Service and Security Policy, determines how we process your personal data and also establishes your rights and obligations as a user of our Services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Definitions<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Personal data<\/strong> is any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (\u201cdata subject\u201d). In short, any data that can identify or point toward a living person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Processing <\/strong>is any operation or set of operations performed on personal data or sets of personal data, whether by automated means or otherwise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under this policy, TEDIC may be the data controller (\u201ccontroller\u201d) or the data processor (\u201cprocessor\u201d) of your personal data, depending on the context in which you provide the personal data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A data controller may be a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body that, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. TEDIC is a controller when it uses personal data for marketing, reporting, campaigns, and incentive programs. We do this only when we have a legitimate interest based on TEDIC\u2019s mission and vision, or when you have given us your consent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A processor may be a natural or legal person, public authority, agency, or other body that processes personal data on behalf of the controller. TEDIC is a processor in cases involving user authorization, when providing information to subscribers of communication channels, and in other scenarios as defined in our Terms of Service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">User\/customer data refers to any personal data\/information that you upload, transmit, or connect while using TEDIC\u2019s services. The person or persons to whom this data relates are the data subjects, and you are the data controller. In our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, we refer to this data as User\/Customer Data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Final users<\/strong> are users who are not direct users of our Services, meaning that they are not the ones who are billed for our Services, and there is an administrator or organization that manages the Services for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Cookies <\/strong>are very small files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. These files usually contain data such as the name of the site and a unique user ID. They can be easily viewed and deleted. Cookies are used for a variety of purposes and, since some cookies are used to identify the user, all cookies are subject to the GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Summary<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your privacy matters<\/strong>. That is why our policies focus on transparency. In this Policy, we explain how we collect, use, and share your information. We also explain how and where we store your data and how we process it. For non-essential features, such as a username or profile photo, you may choose not to provide the relevant information. In some circumstances, however, providing certain data may be required by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Account and profile information: When you register, we ask only for your email address. Adding a profile photo or other details is optional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Content you provide: We collect the content you upload while using our website and social-media channels, including comments submitted in surveys, promotions, and events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Use of the Services: We record your visits and interactions with our Services, including the features you use, collaborative activity, device and operating-system details, and browser type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cookies and tracking technologies: We and our external processors use cookies to recognize you across different Services and devices (see the \u201cCookies\u201d section).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Legal Bases and Purposes of Processing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In accordance with Article 5 of Law No. 7,593\/2025, we process your personal data only when at least one of the following conditions is met:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You have given your consent for one or more specific purposes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation applicable to TEDIC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing is necessary to perform a contract at your request or to take pre-contractual steps.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing is necessary for the exercise or defense of rights in judicial, administrative, or arbitration proceedings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing is necessary to pursue a legitimate interest of TEDIC or a third party, provided that your fundamental rights and freedoms do not override that interest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following explains how we apply these legal bases according to the purpose of processing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Research and development \u2014 Legal basis: legitimate interest. We use Service-usage data to identify trends, improve user onboarding, and plan improvements to our projects and programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Communications about the Services \u2014 Legal basis: contract performance \/ legitimate interest. When you register, you agree to receive operational communications about the Services. Where an opt-out option is available, you will find it in the relevant communication or in your account settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Marketing, promotion, and participation \u2014 Legal basis: consent or legitimate interest, depending on the channel. We use your contact information and Service-usage data to send you relevant content by email or show you advertisements on social-media platforms, including Facebook, X, TikTok, and Google. We also create surveys, newsletters, and informational content. Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compliance with legal obligations and protection of rights \u2014 Legal basis: legal obligation \/ legitimate interest. We use your data when necessary to protect our legal rights and interests, those of third parties, or when required by law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Specific purposes requiring consent \u2014 Legal basis: consent. For uses not listed above\u2014such as quoting you on our website or publishing your story or photograph on our blog or social-media channels\u2014we always request your prior consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. <strong>TEDIC as data processor of users<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you upload or transmit third-party data through our Services\u2014for example, when using our project-management tool\u2014TEDIC acts as the data processor and you act as the controller of that data. This is governed by our Terms of Service, which serve as a data-processing agreement under Law No. 7,593\/2025 and, where applicable, Article 28 of the GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not access or control the content of such data beyond what is necessary to provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the appropriate consent or other lawful basis to upload and transmit that data, and for ensuring that any sensitive or confidential information you upload is not exposed to unauthorized third parties. TEDIC assumes no responsibility for any unauthorized sharing, distribution, or disclosure of third-party information carried out by you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. <strong>How we share your <\/strong>data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We never share your data except in the circumstances described below. All of our personnel receive training on privacy principles and the requirements of Law No. 7,593\/2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Third-party applications: If you enable third-party integrations, you may grant those applications access to your data, such as your name, email address, or content. The way those applications use your data is governed by their own privacy policies, not this Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Third-party widgets: Some Services include widgets or social-media features that collect your IP address and the page you visit and may install their own cookies. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the provider of those features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Public authorities: We share data when required to comply with a law, legal proceeding, or valid government request; to enforce our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; to protect the security of our Services; to respond to an emergency involving a risk of death or serious injury; or to protect TEDIC, our users, or the public from harm or unlawful activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With your consent: When you expressly authorize us to do so, we share your data with third parties. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Business transfers: If TEDIC merges with another organization, transfers assets, or is acquired by another organization, we will notify you by email and inform you of the options available to you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Service providers: We share data with external providers that help us operate our website and applications and provide hosting, maintenance, backup, and other services. These providers may process data only under our instructions and are subject to contractual confidentiality and security obligations <em>(see Section 5).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Data Processors and External Service Providers<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We work with external processors to process some of your personal data. We enter into agreements only with processors that guarantee compliance with Law No. 7,593\/2025 and, where applicable, the GDPR. These providers access your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and may not use it for any other purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Matomo: <\/strong>Web analytics service that tracks traffic to our website. You can read more in <a href=\"https:\/\/matomo.org\/privacy-policy\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/matomo.org\/privacy-policy\/\">Matomo\u2019s privacy policy.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Facebook Ads Manager:<\/strong> Used to manage advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram. It may use contact data to create custom audiences through the Facebook Pixel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Mailchimp:<\/strong> Email-automation platform used for newsletters and incentive programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>X Ads Manager: <\/strong>Used to manage advertising campaigns and may use contact data to create custom audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>BigBlueButton:<\/strong> Video-conferencing platform. With your permission, we may occasionally record calls solely for documentation purposes. The videos and associated data are deleted within two weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>WhatsApp Business:<\/strong> Used to manage messages and communicate with subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Telegram channel: <\/strong>Used to manage communications with subscribers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>[This list will be updated annually to comply with Section 8.]<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>6.<\/strong> <strong>Cookies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We use the following types of cookies on our website:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Essential cookies: These are necessary for the website to function properly, for example, to identify users or adapt content to their devices. They cannot be disabled without affecting access to the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Analytics cookies: These allow us to assess how the website is used, including visit frequency, clicks, and pages viewed, in order to improve our Services and your experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preference cookies: These allow us to identify your interests so that we can provide you with more relevant content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Except for essential cookies, you may disable or delete these cookies at any time through your browser or device settings. TEDIC currently does not respond to Do Not Track (\u201cDNT\u201d) signals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7. Security and Breach Notification<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We design our platform in accordance with human-rights standards and implement technical, administrative, and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption, access controls, and regular backups. Full details are available in our Security Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If a security breach affects your personal data, we will notify the National Personal Data Protection Agency without undue delay and, where possible, within 72 hours of becoming aware of the incident. If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you directly in clear and plain language, describing the nature of the incident, the data affected, the measures taken, and a point of contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">8. How and Where We Store and Process Your Data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where we store and process your data: The personal data collected by TEDIC is stored and processed in Paraguay, the United States, France, and Germany, where our operational facilities or those of our processors are located. Our primary storage location is in the United States, with external backups in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">International transfers: When we transfer your data outside Paraguay, we ensure that the destination country provides an adequate level of protection, as determined by the National Personal Data Protection Agency, or we implement appropriate safeguards in accordance with the applicable provision of Law No. 7,593\/2025. These safeguards may include specific or standard contractual clauses, binding corporate rules, codes of conduct, or certification mechanisms. Where applicable to transfers to or from the European Union, we also implement the mechanisms required under the GDPR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deleted data: When you cancel your account, we delete all of your data from our databases within 90 days, unless we are required to retain it by law, need to preserve it to protect our rights, or must retain it to comply with a court order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9. Your Rights as a Data Subject<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under Law No. 7,593\/2025 and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Be informed: Request, at any time, information about what data we process, the purposes for which we process it, how long we retain it, and with whom we share it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Access and rectification: Access all personal data we hold about you and request the correction of inaccurate or outdated data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Erasure: Request the deletion of your personal data, subject to the exceptions provided by law, such as outstanding legal obligations. If we comply with your request, you may no longer be able to use our Services. Deletion will be completed within 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Data portability: Request a copy of your personal data in a commonly used electronic format and request that it be transmitted to a third party designated by you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Restriction of processing: Request that we limit how or why we use your data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Object: Object to the processing of your data when it is based on a legitimate interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Withdraw consent: Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Not be subject to automated decision-making: Not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling, unless it is authorized by law, based on your explicit consent, or necessary for a contract with you. TEDIC does not engage in automated decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lodge complaints or claims: If you believe that the processing of your data violates the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with Paraguay\u2019s National Personal Data Protection Agency. If you are located in the European Union, you may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You may exercise any of these rights free of charge and without having to justify your request by using our contact form. We will use our best efforts to respond as soon as possible and within the time limits required by law. You may update your data directly by submitting a request through our contact form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">10. Data Protection Officer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TEDIC has appointed Patricia Martinez\/OPTA EAS as its Data Protection Officer, responsible for handling your questions regarding this Policy and acting as a liaison with the National Personal Data Protection Agency. Children and Adolescents<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our website and Services are not designed for children or adolescents, as defined by Paraguay\u2019s Childhood and Adolescence Code\u2014children are individuals up to 13 years of age, and adolescents are individuals between 13 and 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you are under 18, please do not use or provide data through our website or Services without the authorization of a parent or legal guardian. If we discover that we have collected data from a person under 18 without the required authorization, we will delete it within a reasonable period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">TEDIC takes reasonable measures to prevent children and adolescents from registering without authorization and to respond promptly to any indication that an account belongs to a child or adolescent. You acknowledge that we do not verify the age of our users and have no obligation to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">12. Accountability and Proactive Responsibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In accordance with the principle of proactive responsibility established by Law No. 7,593\/2025, TEDIC maintains a record of processing activities, applies privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default principles, and conducts impact assessments for higher-risk processing activities, such as those involving sensitive data or data relating to children and adolescents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">13. Updates and Changes to This Privacy Policy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We may update this Policy periodically to reflect changes in applicable regulations or in our Services. If a change is significant, we will notify you by email or through a prominent notice on our website. All previous versions will be archived and made available for consultation. We recommend that you review this Policy periodically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">14.
