An invitation to question who\u2019s missing and to recognize those who make change"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspired by the All Male Panel archive, a simple but powerful question returned to the center of the conversation: Where are the women? Her work left a profound mark on the defense of women\u2019s rights and the pursuit of a more equal society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also celebrated Roc\u00edo Robledo for her contribution to music; Selva Fox for her work in the performing arts; and Lilian Soto for her activism and advocacy for rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-4 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1500\" height=\"1000\" data-id=\"33515\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tedic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/DSC8094.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-33515\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tedic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/DSC8094.jpg 1500w, https:\/\/www.tedic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/DSC8094-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tedic.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/DSC8094-768x512.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1500px) 100vw, 1500px\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We recognized Clyde Soto\u2019s body of work, which has been central to feminist debate and to building knowledge around gender and rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the LGBTQI+ rights movement, we honored Yren Rotela and Rosa Posa for their years of struggle to expand rights and challenge who gets represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also paid tribute to Ana Romero for her work in cultural management and her commitment to Indigenous peoples; feminist researcher Montserrat Fois; and Regina Rivas for her work in illustration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A courtyard where we could come together<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The opening took place outdoors in the courtyard of the Centro Cultural de Espa\u00f1a\u2014and perhaps no setting could have been more fitting. And instead of the hush of a traditional gallery, there was room for conversation, connection, and song.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One particularly special moment came with a musical performance by Bianca Orqueda, a Nivacl\u00e9 singer. Her music brought another dimension to the celebration: the chance to connect through music and through the many ways women tell and pass on their stories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A space to recognize and celebrate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition <em>Where Are the Women?<\/em> remains an invitation to look, ask questions, and talk about who occupies our public, cultural, and decision-making spaces.
