[Release] Cybersecurity and Public Health

At TEDIC, we’re launching the new research “Cybersecurity and Public Health,” a study that proposes understanding cybersecurity, above all, as an act of care toward people and communities.

The research, authored by Dr. Rodrigo Ramalho, analyzes the relationship between health and cybersecurity from a perspective that seeks to integrate health as a cross-cutting goal in all public policies. It addresses topics such as the security of health data, technology-facilitated gender-based violence, digital threats to public health, and ethical and governance challenges. Finally, it discusses the implications of these issues in the Paraguayan context and presents conclusions on the need for a more comprehensive approach that considers the protection of health—including mental health—as a central part of a cybersecurity strategy.

The publication is part of the Mente en Línea project, supported by the international network APC.
